Session Meeting
The Presbyterian Church is organized around a board of church elders. When the elders meet, the meeting is known as a SESSION MEETING (from a Scottish term; i.e., “the elders are in session.”) Elders are lay people elected from the congregation by the congregation to assist the pastor in his or her work, forming a ministry team that exercises oversite and coordination of the workings of the church. Deacons’ Ministry
A vital avenue of service is through our Board of Deacons. They specialize in helping people connect with people within and beyond the church. In the scope of their care: Keeping in touch with the home-bound and those in nursing care facilities, funeral meals, putting exam boxes together for our college students.
The Sunday of the Resurrection
Our Easter Service is a Harmony Service, which means that the people who come to First Service and the people who come to Second Service gather as a single church family for this special worship service at 10 AM.
