Raising Funds for Youth Mission Kroger Card Change
For several years now, our youth group has had the privilege of being a part of a fundraiser through Kroger gift cards. 5% of any money loaded onto our gift cards has gone directly to our youth mission account. In 2008, we earned about $2,000, and it didn’t cost us anything to be a part of it!
Starting in May, Kroger is changing this system. Instead of loading money onto a gift card, all you have to do to earn money for our youth mission is swipe your Kroger Plus card! Sounds pretty easy right? Well in order for your Kroger Plus card to start earning money towards our youth mission account, you’ll need to assign the account to your card.
If you would like to be a part of this fundraiser with your Kroger Plus card but do not have access to the internet or would just like our help, we (in the church office) are willing to help! We will only need two things: 1. the number on the back of your Kroger Plus card and 2. An email address that we can share with Kroger. We will do the work for you.
If you prefer to enroll yourself, here’s how it works:
1. Log on to krogercommunityrewards.com. Choose “Ohio,” the click “enroll.” If you don’t have an account, simply follow the steps, it doesn’t take long.
2. Once you have an account, log in, Click on Edit Kroger Community Rewards information and input your Kroger Plus card number.
3. Under “find your organization” type in “First Presbyterian Youth” and select “FIRST PRESBYTERIAN YOUTH MINISTRY 106 NORTH GAY STREET, MT. VERNON, OH.”
4. Click “save changes” and your account is set up! |
